Tree Tours

Guided Tours

Sacramento Tree Foundation staff offer guided tours in these neighborhoods as well as Capitol Park, SMUD, and other locations on a regular basis in the spring, summer, and fall. Check our calendar of events to see if there are any Tree Tours coming your way!

Neighborhood Tree Tours

The Sacramento Tree Foundation has worked with volunteers to develop Tree Tours in several neighborhoods that have excellent examples of trees. Taking one of the tours is a great way to see what the mature trees will look like when you plant one in your yard. It is also a lot of fun to learn about the characteristics and uses of the trees.

Tree Tours are provided as PDF files and can be viewed and printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. The tours should be printed on 11" X 17" paper for best results!

• McKinley Park Tree Tour - on Alhambra Blvd in East Sacramento
• Del Campo Park Tree Tour - in Carmichael, features many native trees
• American River College Tree Tour - near I 80 and Auburn Blvd.
• Arden Park Tree Tour - near Watt and Arden Way
• Sacramento State Quad - Note: This tour was developed for the Earth Day Celebration on campus. The booths and festival areas on the map are not there except during Earth Day.

Please respect private property and do not disturb residents. If you have a question about the trees on these tours or would like free shade trees for your yard, please contact the Sacramento Tree Foundation.
